Black pepper (Piper nigrum) is a plant native to Asia and is currently grown in tropical regions around the world. Its fruits, after being dried, are used in cooking as a seasoning. Its essential oil has recognized insecticidal properties and is used in aromatherapy for its stimulant, analgesic and expectorant properties.

The plant Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) is native to Madagascar, its tree has an average size of 10-20m in height. Its leaves are dark green, about 20cm long and elliptical in shape. The flowers are yellow in tone with an intense fragrance and the fruits look like olives of dark green tone. The essential oil of ylang ylang is widely used in perfumery and cosmetics. It is considered an aphrodisiac, anxiolytic, anti-depressant. In aromatherapy is used for treatments of frigidity, impotence, high blood pressure, depressions and skin problems.
Main constituents: germacrene D + benzyl acetate (17.9%), linalool (10.4%).

Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is a plant native to South Africa and widely cultivated in Italy, China, Egypt, Spain, France, Morocco and Japan. These constituents are used in perfumery and also in the insect repellent industry. The oil has the ability to reduce oiliness of the skin and is therefore widely used in the cosmetic industry. It has antiseptic, anti-depressive, anti-inflammatory and diuretic capabilities.
In aromatherapy is used in the fight against acne, cellulitis, tonsillitis, depressions, sore throats, kidney problems and insect repellent. Scientific research also suggests anxiolytic properties.
Constituents: Citronellol (30.1%), geraniol (15.7%).

Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) is a perennial rhizomatous herbaceous plant native to Europe. Aromatherapy with mint essential oil induces improved memory while its internal use has action at the level of the gastrointestinal tract, namely in the irritable bowel syndrome.

The bergamot, similar to a small orange of yellow color, is cultivated in the region of Calabria. Its name comes from the city of Bergamo in Italy, because it was there that its oil was originally marketed in Europe from Morocco. Bergamot essential oil has been described as having relaxing action in aromatherapy as well as analgesic and neuroprotective capabilities.

Thyme is a sub-shrub of the Lamiaceae family. It has small, linear and lanceolate leaves and pink or whitish flowers. It is especially cultivated as a condiment and its essential oil. Thyme-rich Thyme (thymus zygis) essential oil is obtained by steam distillation. Scientific studies consider it a powerful antiseptic and it is used essentially as a disinfectant and in infections of the respiratory tract and throat. They also contain muscle-relaxing properties.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a herbaceous plant of the family Zingiberaceae, originating from the island of Java, India and China, from where it spread to the tropical regions of the world. Ginger is a condiment used throughout the world due to its spicy taste. In aromatherapy is used as treatment of digestive problems, motion sickness, circulatory activation, muscle pain. Scientific studies indicate that the major compounds of ginger have anti-mutagenic capacity.
