The plant Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) is native to Madagascar, its tree has an average size of 10-20m in height. Its leaves are dark green, about 20cm long and elliptical in shape. The flowers are yellow in tone with an intense fragrance and the fruits look like olives of dark green tone. The essential oil of ylang ylang is widely used in perfumery and cosmetics. It is considered an aphrodisiac, anxiolytic, anti-depressant. In aromatherapy is used for treatments of frigidity, impotence, high blood pressure, depressions and skin problems.

Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) is a hybrid obtained by crossing grapefruit (Citrus maxima) and orange (Citrus sinensis). Native to Asia, it is currently grown in several countries, including the US, Brazil and Israel. Grapefruit essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruit peel. Scientific research suggests that exposure to grapefruit essential oil stimulates the digestive system, reduces appetite and body weight. It is used in aromatherapy for treatment of reduction of cellulite and stimulation of the lymphatic system.

The tea tree is a plant of Australian origin that was used by Aborigines for the treatment of respiratory problems. Tea tree essential oil is used as a cutaneous antiseptic because of its bactericidal and fungicidal properties. It is applied in the treatment of acne and to heal cuts and insect stings. Thyme is a sub-shrub of the Lamiaceae family. It has small, linear and lanceolate leaves and pink or whitish flowers. It is especially cultivated as a condiment and its essential oil. Thyme-rich Thyme (thymus zygis) essential oil is obtained by steam distillation.
