Lime essential oil

Its lemongrass essential oil (Cymbopogon flexuosus) has anti-fungal properties and is used as a bio-pesticide in crop protection. It also has deodorizing properties and aromatherapy is considered to be relaxing and anti-inflammatory.
Its properties can be used for the preparation of massage oils, creams and lotions.
Main constituents: Geranial, neral, geraniol.

The tea tree is a plant of Australian origin that was used by Aborigines for the treatment of respiratory problems. Tea tree essential oil is used as a cutaneous antiseptic because of its bactericidal and fungicidal properties. It is applied in the treatment of acne and to heal cuts and insect stings. Its topical use may also be useful in the treatment of vaginal infections.
Main constituents: 4-terpineol (38.0%), γ-terpinene (20%), α-terpinene (9%).

Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a perennial shrub native to the Mediterranean. Its name comes from the Latin "salvare", conveying the importance attributed a long time to this plant. Its essential oil regulates the menstrual cycle and reduces fluid retention. It also has antibacterial properties, being used to relieve sore throats and to clean wounds and infected ulcers. It is used in cosmetics as it reduces excessive sweating and is optimal for oily skins.
Major constituents: cis-thione (25.9%), camphor (20%).
PRECAUTIONS IN USE:
Avoid using this essential oil during pregnancy as it can stimulate the uterine muscles. Contains tuiona, a compound with neurotoxic effects. If you suffer from epilepsy do not use this essential oil as it may promote epileptic seizures.

The essential oil of Amyris or Sandalwood (Amyris balsamifera), is extracted by the distillation of the wood of this species. Scientific papers reveal that essential oils have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. In the industry it is used as fixative of aromas in perfumery.

Constituents: β-sesquiphellandrene, elemol, 10-γ-eudesmol, γ-eudesmol, valerianol, α-eudesmol, 7-α-eudesmol and β-eudesmol

Smaller than orange, tangerine (Citrus reticulata) is currently cultivated around the world. Its fruit, mandarin, is a citrus fruit slightly flattened at the ends. It is from its bark, by cold pressure, that the essential oil is extracted. Essential oil is traditionally used as a stimulant of the digestive system and lymphatic circulation, as well as to calm nervous tension.
Main constituents: limonene, γ-terpinene.

Patchouli (Pogostemon patchouli) is a plant native to Southeast Asia. With a very characteristic aroma, it is used in perfumery as a fixative. Patchouli has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and stimulant capabilities and is considered an aphrodisiac. Due to its excessive use around the 60's, it fell a little out of use precisely because of its strong aroma, but today it is gaining in popularity for its therapeutic abilities.

Camphor essential oil (Cinnamomum camphora) is traditionally used in cases of rheumatic pain, muscle pain, indigestion and respiratory problems such as asthma and bronchitis. It also has antiseptic properties.

PRECAUTIONS IN THE USE OF ESSENTIAL CANCER OILS:
The internal use of this essential oil is inadvisable, since it contains safrole, a component potentially carcinogenic.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a shrub from the Mediterranean coast. Among the activities of its essential oil we highlight its analgesic action by inhalation and anti-inflammatory.

Petitgrain oil is obtained by steam distillation from the branches, leaves and green fruits of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium var. Amara). It has properties somewhat similar to neroli (oil obtained from flowers of the same plant), although it is considered less sedative and the fragrance less exquisite.
